Lamb roast in a bag

This recipe is my version of a recipe from a book my boyfriend gave me yesterday. It´s a simple lamb roast anyone can easily do and will taste amazing no matter what your cooking skills are. The meat is juicy and tender, full of flavour! Great to impress guests! To enjoy also the sauce I suggest to serve with rosemary bread to dip.

Serves 4
  • 800 g lamb shoulder
  • Olive oil
  • 15 g curly leave parsley
  • 10 g fresh oregano/ 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 bay leave
  • 3/4 cup dry white wine
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Salt and pepper

  1. Preheat the oven at 200°C
  2. Brush the lamb with olive oil and season with salt and pepper
  3. Place it in the middle of a baking parchment or roasting bag
  4. Sprinkle the herbs
  5. Pour over the wine and lemon juice
  6. Close the bag or the parchment so the liquid doesn't leak
  7. Roast for 1h or until cooked through
